The different tests to find the Herpes Simplex Virus

When it comes to testing, there are actually some doctors that prefer a whole set of tests in order to know if the patient is indeed infected. For instance, in the case of the Herpes virus, this type of infection is hard to detect because there are actually two versions for this disease. There is the HSV-1 or Herpes Simplex virus type one and the other one is of course the type two. In some antigen tests, both types of viruses would be needed in order to make an accurate test. Sometimes, some viruses are even asymptomatic, meaning they do not show any signs or symptoms from the patients. Hence, testing would only be the best way to accurately detect if someone is infected. Through other tests, a doctor would be able to finally conclude if there is infection or if there are problems with the patient. Testing is very important since patients who would be exposed to the virus might yield some life changing results.
Blood work is only effective if the patient has the two important factors, namely timing and results. Sometimes, there are some rare cases wherein doctors would not be able to check if the virus is a type 1 or type 2 variant. Hence, the patient would again need to undergo some tests. A Herpes testing kit would also be effective in detecting the disease. There are also some products such as the polymerase chain reaction test. This test is about fluid collection, blood and even spinal fluid tapping.
